A little while ago I saw an illegally parked horse and trotting cart. On zigzags tied up to the crossing lights.

It was amusing but I felt for the poor policewoman, wandering around trying to work out how to ticket the thing.

If you did it? You appear to be a normal functioning member of society so probably arrest followed by fine, charged with animal cruelty with possible seizure of animal and trap too.
I’ve seen this spectacle myself and they go so quickly you may even say they’re fking travelling so it’s highly unlikely any charges will be brought.

They blocked the a33 with vans to allow the racing, been at it several times this week

Exactly the same. Just a thought but I’m not entirely sure what would happen round here if some of the dodgier Eastern European elements of Manchester wanted to get past but either way one side would probably get a well-deserved lesson.

Burnt orange fords are the thing

We had them in our village last year, usual stuff

Sadly they left a load of cockerels that look like they’d been used for fighting, dead by the time the time locals got the rspca out. Moved 3 miles down the road and repeated

Had them turn up by me on Good Friday, though this time owning the land having purchased mixture of rough pasture and natural regeneration which in total extends to around 3.25 acres for 70k.

By 9am they'd bulldosed 2 acres and by midday 50 tipper trucks full of hardcore delivered to get some level footings.




Come mid afternoon this was then delivered on site along with another and 4 caravans pitched upp



Council got the Stop Notice issued on Easter Sunday, though not that has impeded over the past month.

Last Friday evening they sneaked this one on site;



The to finish things off, they had these guys out last Sunday morning at 7am putting in a dropped curb for better access.



Council have said, as they own the land, they can't be evicted, so makes it a planning issue, with a potential 3 year battle ahead.

Basingstoke Gazette is today reporting that the police attended but allowed the racing to continue all day, and maintained the closure.

Also there was serious disruption at the Crowne Plaza in town on Frdiay night - and again on Saturday night.

Unbelievable.

Oh. And the police have assisted them again today for another day of racing.

Thing is, say anything and you get accused of racism, which these days is second only to being called a Paedo and a good way to shut anyone down even though its not a race thing its a taking over land that isnt yours and leaving it in a state thing.

Its entirely behaviour related, its human nature not to take as much care of your surroundings if its temporary and you can move on and someone else clean up after you, can steep it in culture and tradition but at the end of the day its folk in caravans making a mess and generally being a nuisance wherever they land.

The owner of the Grade II, 16th Century Farmhouse that is next to this field is looking for more than just a word, especially so as they only purchased in Jan 2020.
