I started this thread in a possibly fruitless attempt to settle a long running debate with my good lady wife.

She says it is always better to shower before going to bed, as you should be clean before bed. She showers every evening, but not much in the mornings.

I really enjoy a shower, and tend to have one when I get up, and also before I go to bed, but if pushed to one shower a day, I would choose morning every time.

I like to feel fresh and washed before starting the day, and I have no idea if I’m a particularly oily skinned person, but I wake up every morning quite greasy with greasy hair, so clearly I can’t leave the house like that…

I have no idea how someone can start their day or face people without that freshly showered/washed feeling!

What say you?

Generally, before bed, as my work isn't always the cleanest.

If I've had a long day, I'm knackered etc then I'll sleep in a tee and shower in the morning.

I've not died yet from being a little dirty in bed at times...

I need to shower in the morning to sort out unruly ‘bed head’ hair!

Stop washing your hair every day. After a few days it'll no longer be "greasy".

Always have a shower in the morning - helps me to wake up - but I’ll have one in the evening too if it’s been a hot sweaty day or if I’ve been out getting dirty working on the car or something.

There is something about feeling fresh and clean before getting into bed, but I tend to be a night owl anyway so showering after midnight just feels a bit weird.

I don't sweat much or smell much. I have a bath (occasionally a shower) every other day, usually at about 7pm. I have a reversible sign on my bathroom door that tells me whether or not it is bath night.

If I do get sweaty or dirty I do of course have a wash whether it is bath night or not, and adjust the sign accordingly.

After breakfast and before bed for me, plus after every st. Normally need a dump after breakfast, specifically the coffee which gets things moving, however if I need to go during the day then I have another shower after. So, 2-3 per day.

How anyone can go to bed without having a shower is beyond my comprehension, you dirty buggers smile

My other half showers then gets straight into bed, every other night complete with wet hair, I shower early evening, I can't sit down and eat or read feeling dirty.

This means we only have to change our bed linen once every six months.

I also clean my teeth at least three times a day, often more. Contrary to belief Monkeys are very hygenic beings.

I lied about the bed linen

I always shower at 4pm or there abouts, always used to shower when I got home from work as my work was often messy. Now retired and just keep the same routine.

Shower (hot) - When I get up / after breakfast. (6:30ish)

Work till about 11

Use the home/garage gym for 45mins - then shower (cold)

Go to bed 930ish … occasionally have a hot bath before but normally just a quick cold shower

I prefer cold showers to hot

I get up for work at 4am most mornings, you can get fked if you think I'm getting up earlier just for a shower.
