I'm curious if anyone else has had similar "connecting the dots" moments in matching a PHer to an individual in "real-life"?

I'm not a prolific PH-poster but I am a prolific reader. I work in a particularly closed industry so that helps narrow things down a lot but I think I know 2-3 PH-ers IRL. Obviously, I'd never let anything slip in a professional environment but has anyone else recognised someone they know on here?

hehe

Many moons ago it wasn’t all that unusual for there to be plenty of real-life meets where you really could meet people IRL off of here.

I have wondered in the past when I’ve heard someone use some of ‘our’ phrases, dominate the stairs sort of comments. Never had the bottle to mention it though as chances are I’d just look like an utter weirdo when no one has a clue what I’m on about laugh

Maybe we should have a secret code. Perhaps if we suspect we are in the company of a fellow PHer but aren’t certain we have a code phrase, something to do with a custard test perhaps. If they are indeed a PHer they can confirm the inquirers suspicions by way of alluding to revenge dog bumming or something?

Haha, I've spotted 2 cars in the work car park with PH smiley stickers on them but have yet to establish who they are out of 100+ people on shift.
I spotted a car on PH readers rides and knew exactly where the pics were taken and when I asked of he worked for XYZ company I had my post reported to admin and a stty note about posting 'private' information??

Edit to add IRL makes me chuckle now because of the advert for parental controls with the bloke who thinks IRL is In a RURAL location. :hehe

When the Ute was featured as Readers Car of the week, someone from work e-mailed me to confirm if it was mine, so have had it happen in reverse smile

One of my clients was showing me a watch he’d recently bought.
Then he mentioned it would be getting some ‘serious wrist time over the summer’.

So he’s a PHer.

Few years back used to see the odd slightly overweight middle aged bloke in a PH cycling jersey round the Surrey lanes.

We did a couple of Lotus meet-ups and meet a few folks via that. Snobby London Run, ending at Bar Italia with about 30 Elises.

Ah nostalgia.. not what it used to be.

Ive assumed from some of his posts on the JLR thread about replicas that, Donkey Apple, is Damon Hill in real life.
