10 year wedding anniversary with a twist

Evening all,

Planning ahead for September when it's my 10 year wedding anniversary and I'm thinking of a gift for my wife. The twist to this is my wife is pregnant with our third (bonus baby due to failed vasectomy) so we can't go away anywhere and celebrate other than a night or two in a hotel...maybe the oxo tower for a visit?

10 years is tin so I have been looking at the usual gifts and nothing is particularly inspiring...she has lots of jewellery but I'm not against buying something nice but I wanted to throw it to the masses to ask for inspiration.

I'm looking at spending 100's instead of 1,000's so over to you all. Thanks in advance.

How about some shares in a Cornish tin mine? Cornish Metals have announced some recent unexpected findings at their sites - could be a nice tongue in cheek variation on the traditional gift of tin. And an investment for childling.

I did it for our tenth, but loss of her job meant I couldn’t stretch to a tin etching so got a print instead. I like it. Think she did too.

It was our 10th last year. Traditionally that’s tin apparently.

I got my wife an unusual necklace made by this woman who makes stuff out of tin. She loves it. Jewelry is always a perfect idea. If gold is preferable for your wife, give her gold by sybaritejewellery

May I ask where you got that from?

It was a company called Blim & Blum. Just found them through Google, but they were great with the whole process. I think the standard template had writing at the top and then a quote or something at the bottom, but the guy on email/chat was brilliant and kept changing it round until it was bang on. Definitely recommend!

I got my mrs one of these. She was desperate to go to Disney land so got it personalised as our Florida fund and stuck some money in the tin to start us off.

She loved the idea but the money got spent and we never got to Florida.

Our next big one is 30th which is Pearl.
