Sneakers - can I, or don’t be ridiculous and act ye age!

After some wise words before I potentially pull the trigger on some ‘funky’ trainers shall we say.
Like to think of me-self as a modern man at 50, typically smart dressed, decent cut to the clothes etc.
But am fancying some ‘funky’ trainers for the odd day trip to Manchester/London for wandering around some bars with the missus etc when I just want to dress it down a little.
A big no-no these days and act me age? Or as long as not to frequent it’s fine? Or just ignore what anyone thinks!!
Any advice welcome from the fashionistas on here……and thanks in advance….

According to my teenage daughters these are stylish without being too try hard and don’t make my look like an old saddo trying to dress too young.

46yo here, I wear Vans, Converse Chuck Taylor's high and low in various colours and designs, my favourites are orange followed by a pink pair and I've some orange and blue Gazelles.
I've always worn Converse and always had funky colours and I'm generally more of a casual dresser, so to me that is normal but I can see why you are a bit hesitant OP if it's not the norm for you, but I'd say go for it.
Post up what are you thinking of buying OP?

Gazelles, Stan Smith's or something from Adidas Spezial when they drop.
Something like Air Max's or Jordans would probably be hard to pull off, unless by funky you mean something that's going to proper stand out.
I reckon the Stan Smith silhouette is timeless and can be worn with most things, young or old.
I'm not sure what your budget is but If your looking for something more upmarket/pricey.
Have a look at Axel Arigato, Lanx, Lanvin, Common Projects, Golden Goose.
