The People on TikTok Are...

FME, videos on Tiktok can be funny, educational, informative and quite entertaining. The content is based on the viewer's interests so in effect, TikTok is democratising creativity. This is how they might want to pitch it, however for every 'creative' clip you see, there are many cringe-worthy ones.
I went in for a look to see if it was this Aladdin's Cave of entertainment I perceived it to be. Yes, there are some funny clips and silly pranks. There are many informative tutorials, useful hacks and cheeky cheats; interesting recipes, top tips, shocking revelations, objectionable opinions and more but... people recording themselves eating? Lip-syncing songs? There are people on there telling jokes but the audio is clearly from a stand-up performance or movie. Not only does it appear to have more than a fair share of bigots, narcissists and weirdos, the audiences liking and commenting on those clips give the 'popularity' its numbers. It's quite staggering at what - and how much - is being liked and lauded.
Facebook was a similar arena but for me, no longer the playground and interface I once saw it as so I switched it off (only reason I still have an 'active' profile is so that I can maintain my business page).
More and more people appear to be living life through these Apps so much so that they even communicate through them, for example, still sending windscreen-related questions to me via FB Messenger despite the referrer telling them, "he's not doing Facey anymore".
I should make a TikTok about it.

I started Tiktok videos about a year ago, I generally call out the online money making kids for the shysters they are but it’s made me circa £30k in 12 months and that’s before I sell the business it’s created.
I tell people how to genuinely start a business, scale it, sell it and have a club they join for £5 a month.

I go live about once a week which is like being a local radio DJ without the music break.
Generally I don’t get any stick as my advice is good, my backstory proven and my attitude uncharacteristically humble
