Getting fed up with spending £50 on a leather wallet for it to start falling apart after a few years, are there any that last?

My eldest bough me an Aspinal wallet many years ago, it's still going strong with no signs of wear.

Similar to the one in the link below, but mine is red suede inside and also has 2 full width compartments behind the card holders, the one in the link only has 1:

Still using the wallet that my grandfather bought in WW2.

It all depends on how you use them, a wallet in an inside pocket of a suit jacket should last for generations, a wallet in the back pocket of a pair of jeans on a building site might have a shorter life.

I think I paid a fiver for mine, possibly in Great Yarmouth or Bognor Regis. It's not showing any signs of wear after about 15 years in my back pocket. I just had a look and it's not only branded by Burtons (remember them) but also has £40 in it which I wasn't aware of :-)

Had mine for 15 years. Probably better than it was when new now as it has softened up beautifully.

I thought I couldn’t get rid of my wallet, turns out you can if you try

Only time it is a problem is when working away, but I always have my work bag so pop receipts in there.

It’s fantastic having one less thing to carry

My current Hugo Boss wallet must be 15 years old. It doesn’t have a coin section but is loaded with cards.

My cheap Thailand wallet i got in a market stall for litteral pennies is still perfect. It past his "look leather" lighter test.. so probably not leather but soft enough for me.

And overstuffed, cram the thing with wads of cash and what do you expect. Loadsamoney types should use a clip.

surely we are moving, fast, to a cashless society, wallets will not be needed in years to come.

so save your money, extended the use of your current one.

+1 for Bellroy.

They're designed intentionally slimline too, which is noticeable compared to other brands I've seen.

I've got a Karl Lagerfeld leather wallet. It's about 4 months old. It looks really good still.

I know you're not going to rush out and buy one on that.....
On day 3 after my missus gave it to me (as a present) it fell out of my pocket. again - nothing incredible.

I was on my motorbike at the time, and this was on an A road.
I retraced my steps the next day and found it. All the cards inside were properly smashed up, as was the bank security code generator thing, and the three £1 coins inside had dents and scratches all over them.
After it's been run over a few times and the contents destroyed, for it to come out with just a little Patina ( tiny dents) - even the little press stud closing on the coin pocket still works, is astounding.
