Who is the shortest person you know?

I know two sisters that are both one to two inches under five foot but I've got a barmaid coming in later that could be even shorter.
I'm not going to ask her how tall she is as I'm sure she gets tired of it, but in the interest of science I have marked some subtle graduations on a chalk wall she'll be standing in front of and will report back later.

She passed away last year, this is one of our last pics and I love it
We used to get asked how she managed to give birth to a big old lump like me but I was 4lb 6oz and 2 weeks overdue at birth so I think that helped her.

I did think this might happen... I know a few people in work who are around 5'0" or 5'1"
For me, I think it's a female colleague who was 5' exactly and a lad I was at college with who I think was 5' 2" at eighteen.
I used to train with a lass who was 4'10"...and a first dan in Jui Jitsu, she was bloody lethal as her center of gravity was so low! Gave me a lift once in her boyfriends 3 door civic and I had to pass her the seat belt as with the seat pulled forward she couldn't reach the belt
A friend at school was just under 5', when they lined us all up in height order to take the school photo she was at one end of the line and her boyfriend was at the other I think he was 6'6" or 6'7". He clearly had a thing for short women as his widow is about 5'11".

That is a similar difference in height to me and a bloke I used to work with. He is 6'10". We looked daft working together!
When i was at BT, we had a lad from Hong Kong who was less than 4ft tall, he lovely winding other people up about it, the scalextric driver was one and he often referred to Ronnie Corbett as 'That tall bloke'.
He drove a 1990 SUV the make i have forgotten and he had to had blocks bolted to the pedals so he could reach them. He got into a bit a road rage and related it thus
This bloke came up to my drivers door and started having a pop at me fro some reason, we were eye to eye and challenged me to get out, which i did, and it was quite a drop to the floor , i must have come up to his belt. Thr look on his face when i disappeared from view ,with him saying, 'Where the F**k have you gone, to which i replied 'Down here, What are you going to do about it?' He just creased up and apologised.
However his hobby was growing Bonsai trees and gave talks about it, again thelook on people faces when he walked out, and said, 'Believe it or not i have had suffered some terrible injuries in this hobby, i must get a better ladder when i pollard them. Broke the ice completely. Great chap, Asked his boss if could have a half day off once because of his size, and needed a srep stool for the top drawer of a filing cabinet.

brilliant.Had a mate at work who was really short, they would always gone on about an official height at which point you would be classed as a midget/dwarf or whatever the pc term is nowadays and how they were just above that limit so they should be classed as short.
Can't remember what the height limit was though.
On my wife's side of the family, there are quite a few under 5ft, I think her cousin is 4'9" or 4'10". I'm 6ft, but that's some kind of giant on that side of the family. My 6 year old is 4'6" (he looks like Elf in his school photos) and he's rapidly gaining on my mother in law who is 4'10"/4'11".
