Had this with eBay and click and collect. Impolitely reminded them of their buyer promises and if it had been delivered then I would have had a collection code. Don’t back down and keep escalating. Even popped to Argos to check they never had anything there they shouldn’t have.

I’ve had this multiple times before as a seller, once the buyer pays, eBay create a shipping label with the Argos address instead of a home address. Luckily the buyer managed to track down the Argos employee who signed for the parcel based off the Royal Mail tracking.

Just raise a formal case, they will side with you

I once never received a small item I had ordered from Ebay and the seller ignored my claims. I opened up a case with Paypal and the seller resent the item with proof of postage and signed delivery. The Jiffy bag I signed for contained just crumpled paper. Paypal initially closed the case as the seller had provided proof of delivery, but I eventually managed to get a Paypal refund.

All for a £3 item!!

It’s happened to me when I got an item delivered to Argos. Royal Mail tracking confirmed it had been received by an employee there yet no collection code had been sent.

I think it sat there for at least ten days until I got a collection code and picked up the item.
