Slightly OT but I love the Daily Mail talks about Fahrenheit when it wants it to sound hot and Celsius when it wants it to sound cold.

This year has been complete;y st weather wise, we had a week of decent Sun, and now we are back in Default grey dull and 18/20 degrees.....

I thought they always used Fahrenheit because Mail Online is based in New York and the stupid yanks writing the stories can't use proper scientific units.

Today has been the first grey day in North Devon for the past week as far as I can remember.

Been to the beach 3 out of the last 4 days for a few hours, in the garden and BBQ’s for dinner. Today dry and cooler but still gardening weather.

Agree that aside from a few hot weeks it has been cloudier, cooler and wetter than the last few recent summers though.

This August must break some records for lack of sunshine hours.

It hasn't exactly been hot or cold, just 19 degrees and 100% cloud all bloody month.

Been pretty nice where we are - Cheshire Plain - for over a week. Bit warm yesterday for car washing and gardening. Today's been dull all day but very comfortable temp around 20C (it's still 17C now), dead calm so it feels a bit sulltry.

Agreed, thought I was just being a grump but weather has been pretty pants for the past few weeks, very little in the way of summer. Over the weekend it was that annoying half season whereby it was glorious in the brief rays of sun and then Baltic otherwise.
