In North London a no1 back/sides and no5 on top costs me £13 for a decent job. Give him a score and ask for lady in change. Everyone's happy.

Guessing it depend on where you live and what you need, but what do you pay?

Managed to find a place that'll do a No 2 grade all over for £6 after my previous place crept from £6 to £10 over a couple of years.

About £35 last time IIRC. Mind you if they last as long as the last set of clippers (20 years or so) that's not too bad.
There's not a lot left to cut, maybe that's why they lasted so long.

£28 - £35 for a trim in the City. Now that I working from home more, I've managed to find a barbers close to home, who charges £20.

£11 for a clipper trim.
£27 back when I had enough hair to require scissors, and lived in London.

Nowt, been doing my own for the past 20 years, and no its not a shave over or number 1 and definately no gangsta cuts, first few attempts with electric clippers with various length attachments you'll get it wrong, but few times later perfectly decent haircut.

Ask the women in your life how much they are paying, if they tell you the truth its an eye opener.

The City barbers are great, many of them eastern european and skilled at what they do. Last one I went I tried to tell him what i wanted he said, 'just sit down', he ignored all that I said and gave me the best haircut ever. Must admit that he only had one style though, everyone looked the same.

I live in Canary Wharf, barbers in the centre are good but stupid money starting at £75, when I come up to Yorkshire you can get a haircut for under £5 but it will last about 5 minutes. My favourite barber has had to stop work, he was a one man band with his own shop and got beaten up by drug dealers because he refused to sell coke. He is now too scared to go back to work

I come from a very long line of baldies, and I am fortunate to have a full, thick head of hair, so I don't mind spending the cash to keep it nicely maintained.

Our hairdresser does a trim me, my wife, my son, and my daughter for £50 total!
