In response to the interesting 'they died too young' thread, I thought it might be equally interesting to reflect on those seniors who are still with us, long after they've passed their alloted 'three score years and ten' milestone.
I'll start with Jimmy Carter. Now 96 and has arguably done a great deal more good for society in the 41 years since he left office than in the four that he held it
I'll also add Carissa Eden, Countess of Avon. The wife of Anthony Eden and niece of Churchill, she is now 101 and probably the last living person to have had first-hand insight into the Suez crisis

Not so much for his own great age (although at 95 he had a good innings), but less than a year ago a man named Lyon Gardiner Tyler Jr died. He was the grandson of John Tyler, who served as the 10th President of the US between 1841 and 1845.
Since John Tyler was born in 1790, only 14 years after the US became independent, just 3 generations span pretty much the entire history of the United States. Perhaps even more surprisingly, Lyon had a slightly younger brother who is still alive today.
