Notice when she appears to tighten the knots she's just pulling the string

and when the trick is finished the knots in the strings only contain one colour the join to a different colour is just away from the knot

Look at her right hand at the start, and how well she protects whats in it from being seen by the viewer.

Looking at how similar tricks are done, I think she's got three short pieces of rope that she's tying onto the multi-coloured rope. I'm not sure what she's doing with the long ends, though.
