Have you had or been told of any spooky or unexplainable experiences.
( I’ve also heard that vehicles can retain a presence too).

I think that we can include reincarnation too... that’s an interesting subject on its own.

Many, many years ago, My Uncle was bit of a speed demon on motorbikes.
One day he was thrashing around an old WW2 airfield, when his chain come off. He was good with bikes, so decided to fix it.
As he was working on it, a Gentleman came cycling by, stopped & asked if he needed help.
He was in full RAF uniform, my Uncle thanked him but told him that everything was OK.
My Uncle carried on, then looked up.... the chap & his bike had just disappeared.

My then girlfriend, now wife, went down to Cornwall for a holiday in 2001 or so.
We were on a tight budget and so decided on picnics and off the beaten track beaches.
We had heard of a very hard to reach beach with only a short strand of sand and cliffs and slabs where seals basked in the sun and decided to go and try to find it.
We were on a single track road and somewhat lost only to spot an elderly gentleman at the roadside dressed in tweed and sporting a tall walking stick. We stopped to ask him if he knew the way to this particular beach, giving him the description. Sure enough, after 2 to 3 miles of driving, we arrived at the headland he'd described. We took our bags and headed down a steep narrow path through the grass to the beach. To our surprise we were briefly greeted by the same gent a stone's throw away. My wife and I looked at each other, shocked that the same gent had 'beaten' us on foot. We turned around to ask him how and..........he was nowhere to be seen. I mean nowhere. Gone! Still makes me shiver now!

My Mum died three years ago & both my Sister in Law & her daughter spoke of strange things going on.
(Clocks stopping, batteries going flat etc)
My Dad & I would just smile & nod at each other.
Anyway, quite a while later, I was alone & being lazy, hadn’t washed up... a big ‘No No’.
I awoke in the early hours of the morning, it sounded like somebody was trying a key in the door, the fluorescent light in the kitchen hummed as if being switched on.
This was followed by a big sigh & groan.
Somebody wasn’t impressed.

We were on holiday in Cornwall and had hired some bikes and were looking for a well known pub. We passed a farmer leaning on a farm gate and stopped to ask him the quickest way to this pub.

He asked if we were walking or cycling and we said cycling.

"That's the quickest way" he said.

We got back on our bikes and when we looked to round say thank you he had disappeared into thin air.

That thread is about ghosts.

Spooky encounters don't have to involve ghosts, it can be British airmen, gentleman in tweeds, farmers, dead mothers, you name it.

Surely if you went past him on your bikes he wouldn’t need to ask how you were getting there.

When I was younger I worked in a shop that used to be an old pub and had stockrooms over several floors.

Old building and properly creaky and creepy if you were upstairs in the stockrooms on your own.

Anyway one day I'm in the kitchen room with a colleague eating lunch at a table and there's a sort of kitchen worktop with a sink and tea and coffee and sugar pots and stuff on it off to the side.

Out the corner of my eye I see one of the pots just slide across the worktop.

Looked at my colleague and he just looked at me and said "yeah it did didn't it".

Still no idea.

Many years ago I went on a ghost hunt at a so called haunted castle well known in Cornwall. I went for a laugh not really convinced about it.Didnt see anything convincing until it was decided to do a Ouija board in the top bedroom. I was in the middle of three people both under 20 yrs old. The glass was placed on the board and we all put our index finger on the top, someone asked the questions and the glass moved rotating across the board on top of a blanket box at the foot of the bed. While it was moving I looked at the other to and took my eye off the glass. They weren't confident enough to move it, our fingers kept crossing over each other as it rotated.I knew I couldn't move it let alone move it while rotating it as it moved... Totally convinced it works ! And will never be doing it again !

Nah........ It spelt out a name of a person on the family tree of owners and the name of a local big mansion where the girl was born . I didn't know both of the answers take it that the two twenty year olds probably wouldn't know either or how to spell the name of the mansion......If you asked me if they work the day before I would have laughed and said no chance......like I said before won't be doing it again.....

When i first met my partner, her mother lived in a house on an estate. Quite an unwelcoming house, i always remembered it to be cold when walking up the stairs when i went around. Her mother moaned about hearing noises up stairs, things moving etc but we didn't think much of it. One morning when my partner went round, her mother told her she was dragged down the bed by her ankles in the middle of the night, my partner told her she must of been dreaming etc.

Over the years my partner started to hear a few things upstairs when she visited and more antics going on from her mother when she was alone. As her mother was disabled, she was given a chance to exchange to a bungalow on the same estate a couple of years later, she jumped at the chance.

A few weeks later, my partner was in the fish and chip shop and she she knew the family who moved in who was also there. She asked one of the members how they are settling in etc. They said everything was great followed by one of them asking if any strange going on's happened when her mother lived there. My partner hesitantly said no.
