So, whilst wallowing in my own self pity, I have been watching some appalling TV, most of which I am enjoying more than I should.

One of the many adverts that have crossed my radar is for these Xmas trees:
https://www.balsamhill.co.uk/c/easy-setup-artifici... - Nice swing action - But HOW MUCH??????

With a real tree at £50, I cannot see how this could ever stack up as a good purchase to anyone with an ounce of sense.

Anyway, back to TOWIE series 2, episode 3………

Why does it need to flip to set it up?
Its not going to save any space in the box.

Now that I've clicked that link I'll probably get the life spammed out of me, but I needed to know what in the name of Christ a flip tree is.

I'm curious to know (PH directors aside) who has a convenient room that they just wheel their artificial Christmas tree into for the 11.5 months of the year that it isn't used.

In most people's case, they'll be wrestling it through a loft hatch?

I say this as someone who has a pop up Christmas tree that fits in a box about the size of a computer tower.

I basically want to flip, if only once, it looks like a satisfying action.

My wife thinks that I am losing my marbles, I suspect I am in the early stages of cabin fever

Real Housewives of New York now, way too much shouting

I’d expect it to come with resident squirrel for that price.

I had to watch a video on YouTube to understand what this was about. What an absolute load of nonsense. “Flip tree technology” this, “easy plug technology” that. Oh FFS.

Even if I was on my death bed I wouldn't be watching afternoon TV.

I’ve seen those ads before and wondered briefly how much the trees must cost to pay for what must be pretty costly tv advertising. Never got round to actually having a look until now and bloody hell most of them seem to be about a grand or even more!!!

I may be too Yorkshire but there is not a chance in hell of me paying £1500 for a Christmas tree.
