I think the answer you've found on google is wrong, and the correct answer is 4C6, 5E1, 7A7, 3A1, 5Y9, 3C8, 2H2.
In each circle, subtract the 2nd number from the 1st. That number gives you the number of letters in the alphabet between the letter in this circle and the letter in the next circle. eg. 4C6; 6-4=2, C + 2 places =E, so the 2nd pattern will be the one with an E in it.

I hate these questions. Mainly because I never get them, and partly because there must be an infinite number of answers. The real question is 'guess the arbitrary continuation of this sequence'.
Those numbers could relate to anything. Substitutions? Coordinates? Chapters in some obscure Welsh poem?

Aye, must be 30+ years since I was at school and were told that if we didn't understand Pythagoras or the more difficult calculus, that would be us on the scrap-heap in terms of job opportunities.Couldn't even have a calculator in exams - we were told that there is no chance you will ever be in a situation where you will have a pocket calculator to pull out in times of difficulty in the future so you may as well learn to use the tables;, sine, cosine etc.

Just because it's the only suggested solution doesn't make it right.

5E11-5 = -4, E+ -4 = A
There are then 2 with A in the middle. The 7A7 keeps you on A so use that one first, then the next A is 3A1, 1-3 = -2. A+ -2 = Y so 5Y9, 9-5 = 4. Y+4 = C, so 3C8, 8-3 = 5, C+5 = H.
Checks out for me.
