What's the anecdotal view of general traffic levels following the latest work from home "guidance"?

Are they up, down, about the same, massively better?

Just trying to work out whether to drive into London tomorrow, or take the train. The aim would be to park just outside the C-charge zone, and then use the tube. Trains seem to be subject to cancelations due to "staff shortages".

From Weybridge this AM, absolutely deserted. Kids off and the rest WFH behind the sofa. Just like the last lock down.

Maybe sightly less

I doubt we will ever see the 'post apocalypse' type scenes again that we saw during the proper lock down last year with deserted roads and barely a person about.

Schools breaking up is what's more likely to have quietened my commute.

A1 Biggleswade to Welwyn Garden City and back very busy both ways this afternoon, more traffic than I was expecting and plenty of folks around in WGC and John Lewis and Marks busy.

News on the radio today saying the A303 at Stonehenge was very slow moving so i would say traffic was normal

Commuter traffic will be almost zero the week before Christmas. And it'll be another day or two before the festive travelling starts. So I'd say that tomorrow will be one of the quietest working days of the year.

I tried to pop to the supermarket at midday.

Absolutely bonkers around Leeds. Supermarket rammed with shoppers, and traffic queues all over.
