UK - Stag weekend help

Pal's due to get married this summer. The BIG DAY has been re-scheduled twice already due to C19 but hoping this is the year it'll happen.
I had planned a trip to Belgium (a favourite country of his for beers) but who knows if it'll be wise to travel this springtime...
So in case travel to Europe ends up being a no-no, any recommendations for a decent UK boozy, lap dancing/strippers bar etc. town for a top stag weekend? Any inspiration appreciated

I know it's a bit of a trek, but a friend had his stag do in York and it was fantastic.
- There's a company that does a self-guided pub crawl around the city - you get given a quiz sheet full of questions that can only be answered by working out which of the very many historic pubs they are on about, then visiting said pub to find the answer whilst having a drink. Think of it like the film "National Treasure" but with alcohol involved
- There's also a company on the big sports campus that does Zorb football. This is terrific fun and way, way more tiring than you could possibly imagine! The weight of the zorb, and the constant fending off of other players trying to tip you over, will soon make you ready for another pint....
- There's a great many cocktail bars, and a restaurant that serves nothing but the most gluttonously sickly desserts you've ever seen!
- Of course, there is also all of the famed architecture, if you're feeling cultural - and a Popworld nightclub, if you're not
- When we went, we were a group of 8-10 and we stayed in a very good AirBnb down by the river, just outside the town walls. It was a converted 3 storey townhouse with a multitude of shared bedrooms, and not too bad pricewise.

An abundance of pubs, clubs, restaurants and strip clubs all within walking distance.
For strippers, you have the pubic triangle at the West Port. Western Bar opens midday everyday, Burke & Hare opens midday on a Saturday and then you have Babydolls which is a bit classier but opens in the evening. A bit classier as in more M&S Gold than Yorkshire teabags, it's nice but at the end of the day it is just boobs/tea. They are all across the road from each other, left to right in the below image is Babydolls, Burke & Hare and Western Bar.
You're typically talking £5 entry and £10 a dance. Depending on the size of the party you could haggle for a discount but bear in mind, if you rock up at midday on a Saturday and pay your fiver then you will still be getting in on that fiver 10 hours later when you come back for just one more dance with that girl that told you her real name. Also, B&H and the Western Bar are pretty good prices for drinks and I would advise you to consider then as pubs with booze. The Burke will do a stag show for about £60 where they take your mate up on stage and humiliate him for all in the pub to see. Hilarious if you've not seen it before, not so much if like me you have seen hundreds of them. Burke is decent in that it shows sports on about a dozen TV's too - beware that you don't bunker down there for the whole weekend and forget the rest of Edinburgh.
From the pubic triangle, you are about three minutes downhill to the Grassmarket and a good dozen or so pubs. Another few minutes past that and you can go left up Victoria St or straight on down the Cowgate. Loads of pubs and clubs for you in either direction which is handy as at some point you will get knocked back or moved on for being pissed/too many/idiots but you won't be far before you find a new spot. Since it will be summer then getting a table at The Three Sisters can be good as it has a large outdoor space and is stag group friendly (generally).
If you and your mates aren't an absolute shower of s
te and scrub up well then you could give George St a go. Much nicer pubs, restaurants and clubs if you are the sort that like to drink and nudge each other in the ribs about how lovely the girls over there on the dance floor are. But if you are proper fun and like a dance whilst drunk, I'd go for one of the clubs like Liquid Rooms (unless a big name DJ/act is on) as they will do events like Rewind (charty, cheesy stuff) and will deal with large groups.
Get the train up. You can literally walk out of Waverley and start your weekend in good fashion. I can't vouch too much for the strippers now as it has been 5-6 years since I worked there but generally, Edinburgh is a top, top weekend away for a stag group. If you tie it in with a sports event when rugby is on then it can work out even better. If you fly then there is a cracking tram link from the airport right into the city centre for a fiver.

Haven't set foot on Lothian Road in an age, normally turn left then right onto Castle Terrace. I do like the Wetherspoons (RIP Revolution and Century 2000) but I have spotted some type of gaming bar sandwiched between it and the Red Squirrel. Last time out I was in Shakespeares but haven't tried the Brew Dog or the rest - haven't had a night out for ages actually!

OP have you considered an activity weekend, maybe a day Karting or a group track day then a meal for the evening?
Or a weekend stay at a haunted house or hotel?

I get that many see the strippers on a stag do thing a bit cringe, but i don't think you have to swing to a pretty ordinary weekend.

OP - how about Newcastle, great night out and a massive mix of venues to suit all styles and budgets

Just a tip but I would stear well clear of Blackpool and Newquay. Both filled with stag and hen parties running around in fancy dress.

Was in a stag to Liverpool about a month ago - great town for it and loads of different things to do depending on wishes/budgets - plenty of choice when it comes to bars/rippers too
Given the way things are going I'd steer clear of Scotland/Wales due to their tighter restrictions/passports etc
