I have an Aldi razor blade that I must have had for over 6 months despite using it daily. Sure it’s not as sharp as when new but it still does the job fine. I shave with an electric shaver for first pass then smooth out with the 5 blade razor.
Clearly I am not growing facial hair like Brian Blessed, but that seems like good value for money given a pack of 4 is about £4

I can't remember exactly how much but whatever I paid (probably £5) its worth every penny.

My 17yo asked me to get him some razors and his look of disgust when I gave him a packet of Aldi's was a picture. I think he wanted Gilette's finest after watching some guy on TV shave then go off mountaineering or skiing etc.
He uses them with no probs though.

They used to be made near us. We went to the factory shop for a tumble drier. We were greeted at the door and asked to look at the tumble driers. The chap said “this one”. We asked if it had any programmes. “It’s a tumble drier mate, not the space shuttle”. Had it a few years now.

Green garden wire from Poundland, got three spools of it for ermm a quid. Not very exciting but use it for resealing bags of frozen and fresh food, organising cables, makeshift "reset pins", securing stuff whilst glue dries etc.
OK so maybe not value for money as such but cheap, useful and lasts ages.

£400 Bosch washer/dryer, still going at 12 years old, no issues.
My same make fridge freezer and dishwasher are 21 years old.
Lidl mini drill hand drill set £7, the bits alone are worth more than that, came with a mini vice as well.
Also got some interlocking floor tiles for £10, probably won’t stand up to much but for putting under the 3d printers they are perfect.
My violin, bought for £400 26 years ago, it was mates rates though, but it’s now worth over £2500 and will last a lifetime.
