A half hour long phone call with an old mate the other day.
We've not seen one another for two years because of - the s
t we have all had to endure.
He just called me up as he was out for a walk and we laughed the laughs we always have, told the same old jokes, took the piss out of the same people we worked with years ago, had a good old laugh at life. We'll keep the serious stuff for when we eventually meet for a night out.
The happy feeling from that call is still with me, several days later.

Finish setting up the caravan on a site, and sitting down with a well earned beer, dog snuffling about his new temporary surroundings and the misses prepping food ready for me to barbecue.
Finish washing and drying the car, quick run round with QD and it's all shiny

Learning - particularly languages and anything science or maths related
Playing tennis as well as I can (rare event).
Riding my motorbike
Watching a good movie or TV series.
Reading
Hiking (particularly with dog and daughter).
Good food and good coffee
Travelling, particularly to places where I know some of the language.
Spending time with my daughter (especially road trips).

When I find myself in a truly wild or remote spot with few signs or sounds of people. Its lovely just to take in the surrounding and sounds of nature.
Watching my daughter when she is genuinly delighted by a new experience such as a new skill, a new place, a new taste or just a fun fact or something funny.
