This has to stop at some point, surely?

There must be a point where this whole cultural phenomenon becomes a caricature of itself.

Removing the word midget to avoid upsetting dwarves is only going to upset the dwarves because you are effectively calling them a midget, which the aren’t.
The whole thing is fraught with danger.
What if people start calling both midgets and dwarves “mini people” as a result of this? Where does it end?
Are thick people offended by Smarties?

First post just to say this? Or a regular not brave enough to post this as themselves?https://news.sky.com/story/marks-and-spencer-rebra...

What about...

Will there be some de-badging in sympathy with the 'cause'?
Are people really that bothered about this stuff and some bizarre, implied insult?

Dr Erin Pritchard tweeted: "It seems that there are a lot of average-sized men getting upset about the removal of the word midget from a packet of sweets.
"I didn't realise they were so sensitive."
We finally get to the nub of her anger; 'average sized men'. This is pretty small-minded of her - no pun or offence intended of course.

Are they doing this again? They've done it two times already.

If Mini rolls get affected by this I won't be happy. Especially if its the ones with Jam in The whole thing is fraught with danger.

Except it wasn't though."I didn't realise they were so sensitive."

Dr Erin Pritchard (who is a dwarf) was the one who was so sensitive about it, that she petitioned for midget to become classed as 'hate speech' and petitioned all the retailers to change it's name.
Now she's whinging that people have reacted.
Same as the idiots who wanted people born male competing against women in weightlifting, saying "it's not up men to decide".
My 16 year old daughter has dwarfism, I have come to hate the word. For those of you who wander freely in public without random abuse and name calling, taking pictures of you to share with there brain dead mates, laughing and pointing just engage brain, if you have one, for a second. Think how you would feel if this were happening to you or your kids. Cos as a dad who loves his daughter it kills me.
