Dyson Cardboard Packing...Why So Much Waste.
Discussion
The other day I bought a Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner, after I unpacked it all I couldn't believe the amount of waste cardboard, it weighed 3.6kgs, there was so much I had to take it to a recycle centre as it wouldn't fit in my bin...we all like to do a bit for the tree huggers and all that but this is ridiculous.

Cardboard 10 times out of 10. It's the plastic waste that staggers me. Things come with an almost pathological attention to making sure products get no damage in any circumstances to remove the obvious people who order, use and send back. If it's not damaged then it can't be sent back although true charlatans would send back anyway.
Manufacturers should be charged a levy on packaging and sustainable waste reduces said levy. Quite a few manufacturers adopt the strategy of we aren't being penalised so let's not bother and also let client/customer deal with it.
