Personally I would have expected that to happen given the snow on the ground is clearly in the way of the train. still, having snow balls thrown at you at 30mph or whatever probably hurt..

There were several people waiting with their phones so I guess they were expecting something. Probably not to that degree though. Maybe they're all queuing up to sue somebody.

One thing is for certain. That would not happen in the U.K. as there is no way the trains would be running with anywhere near that amount of snow on the lines.

Good point, surprised they were allowed to stand there?? The station staff must know what happens in those circumstances.
