eBay - what’s the scam here

I’m looking for a bike rack for my car, found one on eBay and had a look at the guys other items, let’s of pictures of the same drinking glass, no description

Is it just a way of taking payment for a service or some info

I think they are just selling drinking glasses in various quantities. Nothing sinister.

Price is loopy though as you can pick up half decent ones for £1 in most supermarkets.

He might have set up a lot of ‘placement’ ads in order to take advantage of a no selling fee offer or £1 capped selling fee. He’ll then replace cup with a real item.

I’ve done this when I was selling things to cut down on seller fees.
