Just had some feedback for something I sold on eBay which was positive but mentioned the shipping cost was expensive...
I included free postage (which costs me £1 as it's a 60 gram large letter sent 2nd class) but had no idea what it costs to buy via the Global Shipping Program until I looked at what he actually paid!!

Yeah - would have done if I'd known... it's just convenient but maybe I can remove Ireland from the list of ship-to countries??I checked another order where I'd sold a Nintendo 64 game to Australia - much bigger box as I double boxed it, insured for £50 and it cost the buyer less than the above using the GSP!!

Perhaps put something in your listing asking non UK buyers to contact you for a postage quote as it might be cheaper than the GSP?
Why worry about it, they know the cost before they buy it. It's displayed on the auction page with approx duties cost so they can't claim they don't know the cost. I sold some ear pods to a guy in Poland, he send me a message with a screenshot of the total cost and just said no it's not worth it. I asked him to send a screen shot of the auction which he did and it showed the costs but he said he didn't take any notice before he bought the item so it was totally his own fault.

Yeah I'm not fussed... it's just they left feedback and I was surprised considering the GSP is usually regarded as quite good I thought.Just seems bonkers that I can send the same thing to an address in NI for £1.05 but to someone potentially a few miles away on the same bit of land it costs nearly 20 times the cost to send a small jiffy bag!

Seconded.The GSP is a clever initiative from Ebay. As a seller I still tend to avoid it in case of misunderstandings from foreign buyers.
I live in N.I., 30 minutes from the Irish border and it's still cheaper to post over the water to anywhere in the UK mainland than just over the border.
