Word not found in dictionary? "impetunity"

I have just read a paragraph containing the word "impetunity".

I quote a brief section "...owners to cover the present impetunity should be..."

This looks like a very old word, no longer in use but a synonym for impetuosity perhaps?

"Not showing careful thought or good judgment"

Can anybody enlighten me please?

I first thought "in perpetuity" but that doesn't make sense.

Seems to fit the old texts you find if you good the word.

If you can, or know someone who can, pop into a main library or a university library and consult the full OED.

Impetuous fits better in your example.

I suspect the OP's word is a typo, we need more context to work out the meaning IMO.

You are probably correct in saying that impetuous is a better fit.

I can't reproduce the text in it's entirety here unfortunately.

I suspect the word wasn't a typo - the text concerned originated from some smart arse former teacher (retired) who thinks she is clever.

However, she's so 'clever' that she continually makes herself look stupid.
