Summer Picnic Season

Unashamedly nicked from elsewhere but for me it rings very true:-

“A picnic” - Translation: Sitting uncomfortably on a small corner of blanket, with a selection of beige snacks, trying to ignore the pain in your aching back, while a wasp dive bombs your dip selection and your plastic cup of warm drink falls over and a dog runs at you while the owner shouts ”sorry, he’s friendly!” and then it rains.

Spotted a young couple enjoying a picnic yesterday in the weirdest of spots. Patch of grass off a gravel car park used for the canal. They were both facing the car park, so not enjoying the view. The patch of grass is very rough, there are loads of better spots around. Odd.
