Anyone able to help? I have an image that is basically a complex shape.
Its 2 colours, black and tan. I need to make it black and white. And then I need to make it into an image that can be printed off on a plotter in a large format.
Is there an easy way to do this in photo shop? I don't have the original image, I just have a camera phone picture of the image.... so its a bit more tricky.

Should be pretty easy depending on the quality of the photo you have.
In Photoshop, select colour and use the eyedropper to select the tan, then delete the tan selected.
Create a new white layer behind your image, which should then colour tha blank bits in white.
Flatten image (merge the layers).
Then use image resize to up-scale to the size you want for plotting.
... or post the photo on here in highest resolution you have (original size from camera phone), and someone will probably do it for you.

Largely the same process with layers and eyedroppers, I haven't used newer versions of psp, in fact I thought it had disappeared, but it might have some more intelligent/smart selection options even which might be able to select the beige region in one click.
You can also use the phone photo as a base layer then create an empty layer on top and trace it with straight lines, then zoom right in to correct any janky bits.
As for plotting it, depending what it is, might be worth vectorising. Possibly GIMP could do that or just Google for a free vectorising program.

Best free picture editor https://www.getpaint.net/index.html can do the eyedropper stuff
