Just for my own interest, How many of you would be at home/want your Parcels and mail delivered between 2pm and 7pm on weekdays and saturday/sunday.

Any one with Amazon prime already has that.

What do you mean? My post is already so late now that I'm lucky to see it before 4pm (it was 4.49 today!).

I wouldn’t be at home, but wouldn’t give a stuff if the post or parcels came in the afternoon. 7pm is a bit late, but 12-5pm would be fine.

Important stuff is rarely posted anyway, in this digital age, if it’s urgent it’s being emailed.

Afternoon would suit me. I don’t get home until 3am on a late shift. Then getting woken up at 9am by the postie gets on my tits.

Depends. Would I get more than ten minutes warning of a potential delivery before I get an automatic "Sorry We missed You" email?

If I'm expecting a delivery for something I've ordered and keen to receive I have the flexibility to WFH so yeah, I would be there for the earliest possible delivery slot/date. If it's something I don't care much about I wouldn't make the effort; delivery depot is only 5 miles away for anything that doesn't fit into the mailbox.

If I’m in the office rather than WFH, I’m out when the mail is delivered during the week whether it comes in the morning or the afternoon. I can’t say I’ve ever waited in for mail to be delivered, so I wouldn’t mind it coming later in the day or on a weekend.

Are there proposals for delivery times to change or be extended?

Most parcel couriers have already changed their hours to suit and rarely deliver to consumers in the morning.

If you look at the tracking, they're often loading up around 10am, on their way by 11am, and work until 8-10pm, so they've adapted to when most customers are in.

Dpd are really good for me, they say you are position 69 of 123, and the driver is making drop 50

Very good for making sure you are ready

Amazon lockers are really handy (I’ve recently given up Amazon and miss the convenience, but have saved loads on daft purchases)

Our mail at work doesn't arrive until after noon (we are on an industrial estate about 2 miles from the sorting office). Some of the neighbouring businesses have their mail collected in the afternoon. Usually by different vans about 30 minutes apart! rolleyes

In that case they'll be able to collect the mail at the same time as delivering it!
