Trainer Cleaning Kit Recommendations
Discussion
Like many on here I have quite a few pairs of trainers and I tend to favour suede. I've tried various cleaning products and am never satisfied with the results. I don't let the trainers get manky and am happy to put in the time but some suede cleaning products seem terrible. The lighter colours I like often end up discoloured so I stop wearing them but as the condition is otherwise excellent and I still like them, I'm hesitant to drop them at the charity shop before having another go.
Can anyone with first hand experience recommend some suede / leather cleaning products. Links to online resources would also be welcome. The PH search has only come up with boot polishing advice or the massive trainers thread.
I've found a few lists online but would appreciate experience based guidance about which to buy or avoid.

Pop them in a pillow case and stick them in the washing machine. Been doing this for years with great results.
Bleach the laces assuming they're white.
I have tried this before with mixed results, not usually positive.Bleach the laces assuming they're white.
