I must be getting old as spend a lot time shaking of the head and tutting nowadays, often about people who have changed drastically - normally for the worse.

On my radar recently are:
Jordan Peterson, Brian Rose and Geoff Thompson.

I used to rate Peterson as a 1st rate scholar (I think of psychology) and a debater the equal of Hitchens etc, but since his drugs/mental health issues has become a religious nutter and BS propagandist.

I use to like Rose's London Real channel as he interviewed some very interesting/influential people, being insightful and modest . However since he interviewed and became an acolyte of Dan Pena (the self-appointed Trillion Dollar Man), he's now an annoying scammer - trying to sell self-improvement courses and of course the latest wheeze of Cryto BS.

Thompson is a legitimate and well respected martial artist and writer/film maker who has done a lot of exemplary work. Recently however IMO he's gone extremely esoteric/religious which is kinda strange.

A real shame IMO.

Any other examples?

I don't see Peterson as a religious nut.

He's freely stated he believes in evolution and although he cites from the Bible, he also openly acknowledges that it was written by man and looks at the psychological meanings behind the verses rather than the religious ones.

Most people change through life and its experiences.

I don’t do social media or admire or ‘follow’ anyone I just do what I think is best for the people around me and never pay much attention to the rest.

It works for me.

I don't know the other two, but Peterson is still well worth a listen.

OP, consider the possibility that you are not some immutable object.

Should I know who these 3 people are for an particular reason.
Have they ever done something remarkable for instance?
Im actually intrigued as to who they are and why they might be of note?

I don't know the other two, but Peterson is someone who've I've become aware of in the last few years. I still haven't really formed a solid opinion of him. Sometimes I listen to him speak (on YT or the like, not in person) and he seems to be able to really explain my feelings, far better than I can about the modern world, how society evolves and very quickly in recent years, whilst Humanity, Science etc doesn't and they're often at odds with each other. Sometimes though he really comes across as a swivel eyed loon who thinks too much and has started to over-think.

I think his image suffers from all those endless, edited and biased clips you find on Social Media when he's 'owning' someone, usually someone female. It's not a fair representation of him.

I think this might be one of the best interviews I've seen of his, he's being interviewed and talking about himself rather than ranting about the world and how there's no female brick layers.

Russel Brand, now I would say his metamorphosis is limited to ex-junkie wker to some kind of fake prophet wker
, but he's disapeered so far up his own arse in recent years he must be on his second or third lap by now.

His latest rant about being banned from twitter might be well worth a listen if you're a psychologist doing some sort of study?

He seems to have lost his marbles unfortunately.

Agreed. I used to highly rate Peterson, but since his addiction/mental health issues he's the lost the plot. Frequently invokes God etc, which seems to be a common theme among nutters.

Brian Rose - yes, I notice he's gone down the rabbit hole.
Geoff Thompson - not noticed but then I don't really follow him. Is he doing the 5G antivax big whatever thing? I notice similar people going down that road.

GT has gone deeply religious. Very deeply.
