Well, what a day. Just a fantastic, this will stay with me for years day.

I'm on holiday in Cornwall. This morning we dropped the kayak into the harbour at Sennen Cove, and paddled around Lands End. Wow, what a wonderful place. Steep, dramatic, beautiful colours, and the sea was clean and aqua marine. Stopped on the way to look at a ship wreck, and crawled all over it.
Came back to Sennen, had an ice cream, and then went rock climbing with the family. My wife and I used to climb quite hard routes, but today it was some easy stuff that felt harder than it was - but it's been years since I've been lead climbing on rock, and it was wonderfully intense.

Knackered now, but what a day - I'm not sure they get any better.

Anyone else had a fantastic blow your socks off weekend?

Sounds like an amazing weekend, congratulations !

For what it’s worth, I had an amazing (if hot) day watching some car racing. Fabulous !

That would be the RMS Mulheim. I happened to be walking from Land's end to Sennen Cove a couple months after it ran aground there back in 2003!

That piece of coastline is one of my favourite places in the world!

Sounds great , all for free, and no booze involved.
