What are your least favourite words?
Discussion
It's a common question, I know.
The word "moist" seems to come up time and again, and Suzy Dent has has said several times how much she loathes it. And I had a friend at Uni for whom it would make her skin crawl and we were forbidden from saying it.
For me it is "guzzle". Not only is it is a horrible-sounding word but it is is so laced with negativity and so very judgemental in every context. Especially "gas-guzzling". It evokes wanton consumption with no regard for others, yet for a car that has poor fuel economy you might savour every mile you drive in it, and that is most definitely not 'guzzling'. If you see what I mean.
Anyway, what are yours?
Thread rules: (cos I get to make them)
1) You can't just post the word and then seagull off; you need to give some context & explanation like I have done.
2) This is not the "beyond reason" thread. You need a reason. (see 1)
3) Debate is encouraged
4) There is no #4
5) Monty Python references are fine (see #4)
6) Be nice.

Surely it is a group term for when that level of granularity is appropriate? Or would you rather refer to The "house, flat, villa, apartment, chalet, mansion, castle, shack, beach hut, summer house, offices, warehouse, storage facility, garage, etc." market, like someone had shoved a thesaurus up your arse?
