Gumtree posting issues

Hello All,

So I had a crazy person contact me on gumtree. I ended up telling him to FO. Supposedly this breaks their rules on conduct to they suspended my account. I used another email address and posted my advert. Somehow they worked it out it was me and closed that account.

I contacted CS to explain and they aren't having any of it. They've banned me for good and asked me not to post!

Its a shame as its a good place to sell stuff.

How do they know I'm posting even with different names and email addresses?

Maybe they can check you’re using the same device etc

You could try using the webpage rather than the app

Or as the other poster says use a different device.

Could be ip, so perhaps try posting using data rather than Wi-Fi

Are you doing anything deliberate to hide who you are when you're visiting the website? If not, then yes, they can tell who you are.

Start off by using a different browser in Private Mode, a different email address & a VPN. That should sort most problems out.
