Mrs Freak has a small stubby flask, probably holds two decent size cuppas which we use when we go walking/hiking. However, it's not retaining heat anymore so she's looking for a new one.

I've had a quick look on Amazon but there are 100's so if someone has any good experience that would be appreciated.

Not the most exciting subject I know.

You are correct about the subject matter, but anything made by Thermos.

I used to have one of these and would get around three mug fulls from it.

Thermos Direct Drink Flask - The best thermos flasks ever, keeps drinks hot (or cold) for far longer than any other flask I've tried (and that is many)

I’d avoid anything with a painted finish. Invariably get scratched & look horrible!

We have the Chillys https://www.chillys.com flasks and they have been brilliant. A couple are very dented and scratched but they still hold the hot in and cold out, or vice versa. I used to use Thermos but they only lasted one or two drops before the seal failed.

I like Yeti - not cheap, but they are if you pick them up for free.,

Project Farm did his usual good job of looking at insulated flasks (but he did not recommend Yeti) -

I have a contigo flask I bought from Tesco and it's almost too good. I bought it for early morning site visits, driving a 2-3 hours and wanting a coffee for in the car. I've had to start mixing 1/3 cold water with it when I make a brew so it's actually drinkable!

I have a couple of Sigg flasks/bottles and they retain heat very well.

I like my aladdin thermal travel mugs, as they are dishwasher safe, leak proof, and appear to achieve close to the quoted times

Otherwise I also have a 1l thermos, which we use camping. We can boil the kettle in the evening, and then use it to make tea and coffee the next morning. It does live up to it's 24 hour claim for drinking, but wouldn't be hot enough to make a tea at that point.

Wife has a Chilly one but the build quality was pretty shoddy.

I took a chance (never heard of them) and bought her a Kambukka - it’s brilliant. Easy to clean and keeps stuff hot hot all day

Eta although you may have sorted yourself as the threads nearly 2 weeks old hehe

Yeti are so overpriced. Didn’t they have a huge recall on there flasks, kept leaking. Of course, all their products are made in China or Vietnam.

I bought a fantastic flask in Australia years ago. Still got it and it works a treat, although the brand name has worn off due to it rubbing on other stuff so I can’t remember the name.
The trouble with food grade stainless steel is if it gets scratched they start to corrode.
