Hi all,

It's coming up for ten years since Comet went bust.

A few of us ex-staff get together a few times a year, and as it's approaching an anniversary I thought we'd do something different, with your help.

Does anyone know of any ex-Comet stores that are now restaurants?

We'll consider anything! Preferably Kent/Essex-ish area...

TIA!

I guess it is pretty unlikely that any would have become restaurants due to the size of the stores. But the local Comet (and company HQ) to me in
Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire became a block of penthouse flats (with a fabulous restaurant just down the road) so if you are so inclined could be your next best bet…

Comet (HQ)
Homestead Road

Or if you are absolute about going to a Comet that may have been a restaurant, idea is you could find out all the list of Comet locations then google to see what they are now. But IMO if they turned out to be a restaurant, it’s probably some sort of fast food chain drive thru.

Just go for an indian anywhere and insist everyone has at least a vindaloo or a phaal. Then at least you will all feel as though you are in a comet, even if it's not an ex-Comet.

Hello, is that comet?

I’d like to make an enquiry about two supplementary auxiliary speakers to go with my midi hi-fi system.

Comet Reading is a self storage place now. You could rent one out and have a party inside.

My fond memory of that place is my dad putting his shades on and walking straight into the window rather than out the sliding door.

Comet in Halesowen was turned into a motorbike shop, which has a cafe inside. Might be as close as you can get.
