Formula to convert gsm to Kg
Discussion
Help needed please!
If I have a sheet, say 300x400mm with a gsm of 400 and there are x1500, what is the formula to estimate the weight of the total amount, please?
So this is to work out the total weight of x1500 sheets of thick paper/thin card which are 300x400mm in size and have a density of 400 grams per sq metre.
Can't seem to find the right converter online...
(I'm guessing something like 140Kg??)

0.3 x 0.4 = 0.12 m2If I have a sheet, say 300x400mm with a gsm of 400 and there are x1500, what is the formula to estimate the weight of the total amount, please?

0.12 x 400g/m2 = 48g
48 x 1500 = 72000g = 72kg
