Every year various family members kindly ask me what I want for Christmas. I find it a difficult question to answer because the stuff I want I've usually either bought already or is too expensive to ask for as a gift. And I don't really want stuff that's just going to clutter up the house.

So what do you put on your "list" in this situation?

My list so far comprises only one item,
  • Alloy wheel/detailing brushes.

Other suggestions?

Usually ask for spa vouchers or something I wouldn’t normally buy myself like a candle or a tickets to a show etc

I find the same - usually I default to either Halfords or John Lewis vouchers.

Always a difficult one. The only things I want that I haven't got are a house on the Cornish coast and a Ferrari. I prefer to just arrange to meet up with people and go for a meal or something, the emphasis being on company rather than gifts. A shared experience is better than more "stuff".

I've asked for nothing as I usually do. Don't want anyone spending on me at all as I don't need anything and same as OP don't want to be surrounded with clutter

We haven’t done lists before but I’m giving OH one this year as there’s a few things I could do with, one of the below would be great:

- A more waterproof headtorch than my current Amazon jobbie (which is very good and bright but will fail when running or dogging in the rain!).
- casual trainers, new balance look nice
- some type of pocket knife or something with a small knife on (makes it easier when the wee one wants some of my food when we’re out and about rolleyes)
- some new riding gloves, my fox ones are old and pretty weathered!
- Port, maybe even a century yum

In reality, I will give her the list, she will ignore it and buy something personalised and waaaaay overpriced from Not On The Highstreet hehe

Nah, that's in the Marriage vows. The additional toilet flush is just trolling though.

I always end up ordering my own presents then giving them to the wife to hand out to family, who giver her the money (which she normally ends up keeping) and then family give them back to me on Xmas Day. I hate the whole palaver surrounding buying and giving presents, so we limit it to just certain members of the family.

This year I bought a 4K OLED TV and 4K disc player, so I've been ordering some 4K DVD's that I want and leaving them sealed to give out, to receive them back!!

My daughter recently asked me this question. Fortunately (sort of) my electric salt grinder had stripped its gearbox the day before.
I hope she puts in a good word to Santa for me.
