Nobody on Twitter can identify this logo but lots of people think it's automotive related. It's on a keyring apparently. Can anybody identify it and help Mr HappyToast out?

Turn it 90deg, it looks like a flag. Some kind of flag with 4 blocks of colour, maybe?

I’ve got a pang of recognition around Rover or Metro ???

ETA that might be a complete red herring though!

This is why it's infuriating, it looks so familiar and everybody seems to kinda sorta recognise it, but nobody can quite pin it down. It's quite interesting that so many people think it's automotive, my first thought was Segafredo but that's not it.

Hmmm difficult to tell. As others have said it could be a small section of a logo like that of Mini or Austin.

The only other automotive brand logo this reminds me of instantly is the old Fiat logo (the 4 slanted Lines one) they put on their cars back in the 90’s but in this case 2 of those logos stacked on top of each other????

If someone posts that on reddit with a statement that it's Austin, someone will correct it pretty much immediately.

It's maybe because (I think!) it looks very similar to an animated logo used at the start or end of a film/tv/cartoon where the two halves would run from opposite sides of the screen and join to form that logo (or something similar. Maybe :0 ). Again I'm thinking 70's/early 80's.

I didn't mention it earlier as there's no obvious reason you'd have is made into whatever is in the photo.

First thing that leaps into my head is Sbarro even though I don't think it is.

That was my first thought too.

It did it at the end of the A-Team if I remember correctly.

A reverse image search of over 57 billion images finds no match. Probably the tread from some old Hi-Tec trainers or something.

My first thought was the Konami "bacon strips" logo but not close.

I have a feeling this should be some sort of sporty brand with vehicle related products instead of an actual manufacturer. More of a guess though.

Maybe it's the logo of the keyring manufacturer

For some reason it's making me think of an early 90's Fiat that I drove while learning....

The fact it's lasted this long on PH without being recognised I think pretty much writes off it being anything vaguely automotive.

The formidable strength and sheer breadth of beardery on here would have had that solved within the hour if it was.

I have a strong feeling it's the logo of a now-defunct fuel station chain, but I don't recall the name.
I'm probably wrong though.

Thought I had it with the faint memory of the Soft99 logo (Japanese detailing products) but I was wrong upon searching.
