Did you set yourself any goals for 2022 and if so did you achieve them?

Has anybody set any goals yet for this year and what are they?

By goals I mean things you want to achieve, slightly more meaningful things than New Year’s resolutions if you follow me.

I didn't manage to tidy my shed, well I did but messed it up again. So 2023 will see the definitive tidy shed (or not)

I told myself that 2022 would be the year my project car would be on the road. I nearly got there, it's mechanically complete at least. 2023 WILL be the year that it's MOT'd.

Might tidy my workshop. It's currently got about 6 cars worth of used oil sat in a giant tub that I'm not sure what to do with, plus it's a bloody mess.

Oh, and I'm off on hols at the end of Jan so losing a stone for that. Might get back to running this year. I've done nine marathons, but at the moment I'd struggle to do 10k, so need to sort that out.

So yeah, tidy my workshop, get fit again.

And probably tidy my office too. laugh

Me too. No where near the mechanical stages yet, but I haven’t got the excuse of being at work now. Just the excuse of not liking being out in a cold garage, so it’ll be a while yet before I start this year I think.

For 2023

Nailing Larry Carlton's guitar solo for Kid Charlemagne. I've learned the verse chords, and the first three bars of the solo but there's a section of eight notes after that in 2/4 time that is really pissing me off.

Then.......it's trying to conquer stagefright. I volunteered to do a solo set at our local on NYE last year and corpsed in the middle of Delilah FFS!

I need to bin smoking as well; it's currently 50p a fking tab
