eBay - request for international shipping

Hello - I hope this is an appropriate place to ask
I am selling some kids toys on eBay, they are monster high dolls, which I found boxed at the back of my daughters wardrobe.
They are a couple of years old and I just thought I would get a couple of pounds for them, rather than giving them to the local charity shop.
I stuck them on a seven day auction and to my surprise, was being made offers within 5 mins of going live.
I have been asked a couple times by potential buyers if I will send abroad, including France and Germany.
I obviously want the best price and don't want to turn down buyers, but have no idea of how I then go about sending abroad or what security I will have.
Any suggestions, as I am bit naive, as I have only sold a handful of items over the 15 years of using eBay.

Royal Mail when they are not on strike insure and guarantee delivery all over Europe just package them very well and obviously payment through eBay.
Thank you will I need to re-qoute for delivery or will eBay do this for me?I want to obviously stay within their rules?

I've sold stuff that I've exported
What seems to happen is buyer pays eBay and you then send the parcel off to an eBay distribution centre, Nottingham way iirc.
It then gets through to the country it's going to all tracked and the buyer pays the extra postage.
Hope this makes sense and still exists today.
Mine was pre covid

This would be the ideal and give me some reassurance. What seems to happen is buyer pays eBay and you then send the parcel off to an eBay distribution centre, Nottingham way iirc.

You are describing eBay GSP.What seems to happen is buyer pays eBay and you then send the parcel off to an eBay distribution centre, Nottingham way iirc.

It's something you need to "switch on" at the time of listing.
It's great but quite expensive for the overseas buyer. As said, UK sellers post to a UK address & eBay take care of everything else. You must include the eBay reference on the package.

Personally it’s too much bother, simply not worth it
Stick em on at fixed price, Chuck em in the loft and wait, they will sell
To be fair, I was expecting a couple of pounds, but the offers are near to the £50 mark and I have no emotional attachment to the items. I just wanted the items gone, but hey if they are value to someone, then who am I to complain.Stick em on at fixed price, Chuck em in the loft and wait, they will sell
If I was attached the items then yes I would be holding on to them. Just don't want to be stung by some daft eBay rule.

When I've used it for buying stuff from the US GSP is quite a bit cheaper than if the seller were to arrange it themselves, they probably have some good consolidated freight rates and efficient handling.I've sold quite a few things through it too, pretty much hassle-free and no greater risk than selling to within the UK really.

I've sold squillions through GSP. It's a great service. For larger bulky items it's cheap, for car handbooks it's very expensive. (It's a flat rate system)
Mid-2022 I sold an item on eBay, only then finding that the purchaser lived in Vermont, USA! Who had paid me only UK 2nd Class postage rate for delivery!
I posted it to the address provided by eBay (in the Midlands?) which incorporated a complex reference.
Tracking details were provided to me as the package travelled States-bound and I eventually received good feedback from the American purchaser.
For me, as a seller, it was as easy, and for the same price, as sending an item locally!

Don't be too keen to use Royal Mail for overseas stuff at the moment. They're still suffering from a cyber attack on top of the residual strike action.

This certainly sounds like the way to go. Makes sense really eBay is a global business so why not use that power to sort out the postage. I posted it to the address provided by eBay (in the Midlands?) which incorporated a complex reference.

I’ve used this for years - never an issue, no international post to worry about

I was reluctant to use the when it was first launched, but it does take all the headaches out of the process. You can send to their UK hub by Royal Mail or any of the other couriers Ebay offer (Evri, Yodel, UPS, FedEx, etc.) Also once your package reaches the UK hub the risk of damage and loss are Ebay's problem, not yours.
If you haven't got any bids yet, you should be able to edit your listing to include the Ebay Global Shipping Programme. You still only have to state the postage charge to the UK hub, Ebay tell the buyer the rest.

That wouldn't affect GSP because you post those to a UK warehouse and they deal with the rest.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64249540
