Facebook Marketplace scammer - some details given
Discussion
'ello all.
My wife put an item on Facebook marketplace, attracting the usual scammer scumbags. Fortunately only two contacted, one of which was obviously a scam and she hadn't responded (but I certainly did!)
The other, which simply asked in bad English whether the item was 'avilable' she (foolishly) replied giving our postcode (not full address). Having checked, profile is some old guy in Romania - who may legitimately be looking for a good value keyboard, but I suspect it's a hacked account.
As such, potential scammer has her full name and our postcode, but nothing else.
Should I be concerned?

If you Google your full name and postcode, does it reveal where you live?
A full postcode can be up to 40 properties - I wouldn't be too worried.
And the rest. You can get up to 100 physical houses in a postcode, although the average number is 15.A full postcode can be up to 40 properties - I wouldn't be too worried.
Multiple-residence addresses (eg. offices and businesses) can result in thousands of addresses linked to a single postcode.
