Been using Ancestry, but only FMP has the 1021 census. dont mind switching but have heard that to get full details off a page it costs extra per search..True?
Also doing some on Irish geneology and it 'looks' like you can access electoral rolls on line.
However every google search specifically quoting Irish electoral ,just mentions UK ones in the blurb and whilslt a £5.00 one off fee to rinse hem for 24hrs seems ok, i dont want to spend a lot of fivers to find out although the google search brings a site up, that claims they have access, once in you are stymied
Anyone managed to find a site that does show Irish electoral records?

Is free if you're looking for Irish background. Only goes back to the 1800's, but was good enough to find my Irish past.

Is good if you've anything Scottish to look for, but yeah- you need to pay for images so you need to be pretty sure.
I've found my English & Welsh ancestors the most difficult to trace, strangely enough.

Make sure you double check everything, it’s may not be accurate,
I started using the research that someone else had, my great (not sure how many) grandad had his father listed, except the birth had been recorded against the first husband who died 10 months before his birth, not the 2nd husband who his mother married 4 weeks to the day later, and then went on to have 2 more kids, all listed as the first husband so all the ancestors follow his line not the new husband,
I messaged the person who put the family tree together to say what I had found, she told me I was wrong and years later it’s still on there, the 2nd husband not even mentioned,
