A simple pocket knife
Discussion
Like many people, I've owned a Swiss army knife for donkey's years, but they all come to come with mainly useless items. I don't need a hoof pick, for example, I don't really need two blades, nor a saw or can opener. Things I find really are a blade, scissors, corkscrew and maybe the little screw driver/bottle opener. Having lent mine to a grandchild it came back with a few problems so I need a new pocket knife. Standard size of course since the law makes bigger ones illegal these days.
But for the life of me I just can't find a simple combination - blade, scissors and cork screw. Maybe a screwdriver. Any ideas the PH massive?

Where I have always bought, but they deliberately avoid a simple combination such as I want. You can have scissors and a corkscrew, but only with all the other useless (to me) combinations. I have never owned a horse. I can't find that on the Whitby site either.https://www.victorinox.com/uk/en/Products/Swiss-Ar...

I think the issue is going to be the corkscrew feature. You seem to only get that on multitools alongside a load of other weird functions.
Otherwise, for you, a Leatherman T4 would be perfect:
20HC Knife
Spring-action scissors
Awl
Bottle opener
Package opener
Phillips screwdriver
Medium screwdriver
Extra-small Screwdriver
Pry tool
Wood/Metal file
Tweezers

Or, if you can live without screwdriver, the Gerber ArmBar seems pretty useful, and with corkscrew:
Scissors
Fine blade
Retail package opener
Bottle opener
Corkscrew with arm
Pry Bar
Can Opener

If you can forgo the scissors Opinel do a knife and corkscrew combination. May be slightly larger than you want, though.
Opinel is a good call for simplicity cheapness and has a decent knifeIf you want a scissors and a corkscrew on a multitool it does tend to have a few other features Spartan is the simplest Swiss army knife.
My all purpose tool is a Leatherman Juice CS4 which is reasonably compact and has scissors and a corkscrew but I think discontiued - can't see any current Leatherman with a corkscrew.
I have a Gerber Armbar Drive as a simple tool I take skiing for bindings etc - nice compact simple tool. The Armbar linked to above would be a good choice.

Interesting thread to be honest, as your requirements are exactly the same as mine. But for the life of me I just can't find a simple combination - blade, scissors and cork screw. Maybe a screwdriver. Any ideas the PH massive?
Much of the year, I live away from home several days per week for work, and I keep a Victorinox Swiss army knife and a 'waiters friend' corkscrew in the pocket of my bag, because I have regular need for the following:
Corkscrew - Opening bottles of wine, obviously
Bottle Opener - Opening bottles of beer, obviously.
Small knife or 'retail package opener' as some tools have - For opening those moulded plastic retail packaging which are absolutely f
king impossible to open without a knife or scissors, and for cutting the 'capsule' off a wine bottle.Scissors - Also for opening packages and cutting stuff like tags off new clothing if I happen to buy something.
Screwdrivers - I have, on occasions, had to carry out minor DIY in whichever apartment to hotel room I'm in. Adjust or turn off a radiator valve using the screwdriver, adjust a tap, remove the 'anti tamper' Philips screw from air conditioning controls to make adjustments, and so on.
A can opener would also be useful sometimes, but not too fussed about that really.
If I could get something that just had those items in a compact form, that would be ideal.

I didn't realise that a pen knife could be so pretentiously described:
"This is a directional cocreated limited-edition pocket knife born out of a passion for outstanding design. On-point in its aesthetic DNA, yet functionally flawless, the idea at its core evolves around the story of Adam and Eve, androgyny and The Creation. With these biblical themes in mind, the idea was also to create multidimensional gear to protect and ensure human survival through the use of garments, tools and spaces. It’s equipment done differently. Join a story of discovery."

How many of the above are legal to carry in the street?
Quote: "UK knife law allows you to carry non-locking pocket knives with a blade length up to 3 inches (7.62 cm) without any need for a valid reason"It is always worth checking that whatever you buy is legal to have in your pocket before you buy, if you wish to carry it around with you.
I can't ever see myself needing anything other than the sort of 'short' 5cm blade you get on a Swiss army knife or multi tool, plus, I don't ever 'carry' a knife or multi tool on me or in my pockets. It lives in the bottom of my holdall/suitcase.

I'm going to be very pedantic here, and ask is that really legal?Very high quality, elegant and just the right amount of tools. Totally legal too.

The blade is 7.7cm long, and UK law allows for a maximum of 7.62cm..
(I know the adverts states 'UK friendly carry')
I find the swiss army Climber to be a decent compromise of the things I want without too many bits I don't need.
2 blades, scissors, corkscrew, bottle opener, 2 screwdrivers and the tweezers get used, and I've even used the spike needle thing and can opener a few times. I bought the little screwdriver that goes inside the corkscrew separately, ideal for tightening glasses.
The tooth pick and the hook thing are the only ones I don't use, but they don't add to the size of the knife anyway

Don't like all the silly colours they do now though, a swiss army knife should be red!

The popular ones such as the Huntsman are legal being about 9mm for the longest blade. There are expensive collectors ones but who would want one I have no idea :-

But to the basic problem; who can find me a knife I want?

I was working at Downing St as a cameraman. Had to deal with the gun toting police at the gate who quite rightfully checked my bag.
First cop eyed my Leatherman and looked at the second cop.
Second cop said 'Its alright he's a cameraman, they all carry those'
Then they found my separate corkscrew and were not happy about it at all

Victorinox tinker for me. click
Has two decent blades, can opener, bottle opener, toothpick and other things I don't use. No corkscrew.
This is my favourite though: Gerber wingtip.
