About 30-odd years ago I was a student at Coventry Uni. Went to a house to buy some car parts (a fellow Mini enthusiast) and ended up hanging around watching an early Police, Camera, Action! on VHS. One of the car chases started in Leicester and gradually worked its way towards Cov, and after a bit of circling around, the protagonists sped down the road we were on - driving past the house. It was confusing enough that one of the guys actually went and looked out of the window in case he could see them...

Christmas day 1995 we were at family friends and someone put on the latest Clarkson DVD. He drove a Lamborghini Countach past the house we were sat in. We had just commented that someone down the road had one 'just like that.'

Old old (1990s) Top Gear was produced at Pebble Mill in Birmingham and loads of the road tests used local roads to me. Quite fun (in a very sad way) watching them back on Youtube and seeing how things used to be...

So as well as an ex-husband she has an ex-apartment too?

I was going to suggest a custard test, but I guess that won't work if she's not there. Maybe Sally Nugent could do something with the custard instead.

And an ex-Porsche. It went just shy of the divorce. She has his old Insignia. He doesn't need it because he lost his licence due to a DUI. I could do the custard test on her new apartment in Altrincham but not at the moment. We live 184 miles apart.

Also DickyC my nephew lives near there. The rents are a bit silly for somewhere so close to Ordsall. i remember the apartments going up and thinking "what kind of idiot is going to pay £100k to live there???"
