I ordered a new handset.

It was sent for despatch the nextday. I requested delivery to work on a closed industrial unit.


I had a message saying the phone had been delivered but the message said Your parcel has been delivered and received by CUSTOMER SATURN DATA LOSS at 21:59 on Wed 31 May 2023


Vodafone state its been delivered.

No one was there at that time.

The industrial park was closed.

I have complained with Vodafone following what I deem to be a normal and logical process. They have investiated and said its been delivered contact the financial ombudsman.


They have closed the complaint.

I simply cannot have any success with getting this sorted.

Has anyone been in a similar boat and had success? Has anyone managed to get hold of some senior / director details at Vodafone or does anyone here work for Vodafone.

This is driving me mental and have had 2.5 hours on the phone today to no avail.

I'd be getting my credit card company involved (if you paid that way).

DPD confirm I have not received it.

Why on earth Vodafone have closed this complaint I do not know.

Why would they accept a ‘closed industrial unit’ as a delivery address?
Sounds a bit scammy
They should have refused from the outset?

I opted to have delivered to my business as I am there 6days a week 7/8am -6 pm.

DPD allegedly delivered it at 8:37 on an sms / 21:59 on their portal.

Neither of which happened as I had left for the day and the gated compound was locked and closed as it was out of hours.

Dpf won’t give me the picture of delivery or a picture / proof of my signature / whoever’s signature signed for it.

My cctv shows no dpd between 8pm and 10pm


Never felt so defeated by something that should be simple to sort out.

Maybe I've misinterpreted but have you checked the CCTV for around the 8.37am time period? The SMS is usually just as it's delivered, the portal one might be uploaded later in the day.

All times no dpd van.

It’s truly head against a wall, a courier company say I have something, I haven’t.

When I buy clothing online I have to show ID when it’s from somewhere designer to avoid this sort of thing, can’t for the life of me work it out with a phone why it’s just vanished.

Doesn't always work but try Voda's Twitter page - sometimes the social media people in these big corporates seem to be able to cut through the crap.
