I’ve spent too much this summer. Tell me something that is both better and cheaper. I’ll give you a couple free of charge:
Ribeye steak - much better flavour than fillet, especially if cut thick and reverse seared.
Quartz watches, less trouble, cheaper to maintain and way more accurate than mechanical mechanisms.
Mx5 - well, just because!
You can thank me later.
Don’t tell me I’m wrong ( I already know that for many reasons I probably am) just give me something that’s both better and cheaper.

Medication like pain killers and cold stuff.

Supermarket own brand works exactly the same and is 10x cheaper. Tesco paracetamol 500s for example. Pennies to buy, yet the exact same thing from Panadol is 10x the price rolleyes

Also as a GERD sufferer, Tesco own brand heart burn goo is half the price of Gaviscon and works exactly the same, and tastes the same.

They’re alright, a middling biscuit, but I need cheaper AND better than the main alternative option.

Are you sure that is both cheaper and better than the alternative? To be fair, I’ve not met your wife though.

Agree. Same stuff. Does the same job, just cheaper though, not actually better. I need both.

Any alternative to Heinz. Nearly all their stuff is more expensive and worse than the lower priced competitors.

Hmm, not actually found a better cream of tomato soup. Cheaper yes, but not better. Don’t use much other Heinz stuff.

And far too sweet.

I've got a secret desire for vinegary cheap brown sauce. The sort you get in cheap greasy Spoons. £1 a gallon from Makro I expect.

Want a Passat? Buy a Skoda Superb instead.

And buy it in Lidl/Aldi and let it go a fortnight past it's date on the pack.

Yep, good steak has as much to do with the quality, aging, and how it's prepared and cooked as to what cut it is.

Many, many cars, the old models are better than the newer generations. And were cheaper when they were new, and are cheaper now by virtue of them being second hand.
See MX5 MK1, any big Volvo estate, any Mercedes...theory only spoiled when they become "classics" and the price goes up.
