Help me find a 15 year old PH thread

Back in around 2007 / 2008 there was a thread in The Lounge section of PH entitled ‘Did somebody just try to buy U.K. PLC?”.

The gist of the thread was about a Peer in the HoL making a statement about how he had been approached by an unnamed organisation to buy the U.K.

All manner of Google searches draw a blank relating to this Pistonheads thread.

Can anyone with superior skills to my own find it please?
