You can buy Velcro strips which come with both the Hook-and-loop fasteners.

I have just repaired the collar on my Motorcycle jacket, un pick the thread and re stitch it back on. I found a good sturdy needle and a pair of pliers helped with the sewing.

Take them to a cobbler and see if they can remove the old Velcro and stitch some new in.

Don’t bother going to Timpsons though - try an independent place.

Hi Folks,

I wear strap on shoes for health reasons, but the strap on my right shoe doesn't stick any more.
Is there anything I can buy online (apart from a new pair of shoes) to solve this problem?

Thanks
Treat yourself to some new ones . Those are fked aren't they?

Thought ‘strap on shoes’ was some sort of kinky sexual device. Those shoes look like they are at the end of their life anyway.

Looking at those I doubt they are doing the wearers feet any favours as the backs are collapsing.

You could remove the Velcro and use contact adhesive to put new on if someone cannot stitch it but if you have to pay someone I suspect the money would be better spent on new shoes.

Welcome.

Maybe they're really comfortable or maybe money is tight for the chap.

He asked for advice, that's all.

If the velcro strap doesn't stick anymore, it may be just covered in fluff. Try removing all bits of fluff/hair from it and see if that helps.
Free too!

Another option is to carefully iron both sides flat as you can with a hot iron. Put a coth between so you don't melt the plastic. It's worked for me in the past.

This is PH, people can't stop themselves from being tts, OP a cobbler should be able to sort it as previously said.
