So I have an enormous selection of hats. If you can think of a hat type I have it. From Sombrero to Stetson, from Top to Flat Cap, Deerstalker to Beanie and all points in between.

So can you pair the ideal car for each type of hat.

Obviously you can't wear a Bowler in an open top sports car, but what car goes well with a Homburg? or a Fedora? or a Boater?

Your suggestions please.

My dad taught me that on one of my first driving lessons and 35 years on I believe it to be good advice.

I mentioned it to Reg Local and he agreed that it was good advice.

A convertible or creaky old Land Rover, a titfer of your choice to keep your bonce warm.

Transit Tipper and a flat cap, don’t go near.

Any other car, the presence of hat wearing pilot, is a clear indication to other drivers to give it a wide berth.

I had an old fleece and an equally old woollen beanie on and my wife told me I looked like a Land Rover driver. Coincidentally, I am biggrin

I put cushions on the parcel shelf in the same bracket. If I ever own a Fedora I will buy a Bugatti to go with it.

For years, I actually called such vehicles "hats" and your father's advice was sound.

Now I am elderly I do sometimes wear a hat in a car. The extra road space people give me is quite useful.biggrin

I'd also add tissue box and/or nodding dog on the parcel shelf as well (although it's been quite a while since I've seen the latter).

I keep a baseball cap in the car for driving into low sun on a twisty road, which I use every month or two.
Is that bad?

Actually now you come to mention it, on the way to trackdays, I used to put my helmet on the parcel shelf in the Noble, although I suspect this doesn't really count.
